House Bill 914 passed by the 79th Texas Legislature and
signed into law effective January 1, 2006, requires school
district officers (superintendent and school board members) and
school district vendors to file a conflicts disclosure statement
about gifts received from or business relationships with any
vendor that is currently doing business or soliciting business
with the school district. The statement and questionnaire,
respectively, must be filed with the records administrator of
the school district. It further requires the records
administrator to post a list on the district's Web site when
they are so filed.
