The state has enacted Senate Bill 1107 effective January 1, 2012, requiring that all first-time students entering college must provide proof of vaccination against bacterial meningitis 10 days prior to the start of classes.

NEWS All students graduating and going on to college will need a Meningitis shot before they enter college. Also, any student going to TVCC through dual credit that did not attend last semester will need this shot as well.

Texas College & Career will target an increase in the rate of K12 students transitioning to postsecondary education, and includes unique resources designed especially for students who are more at-risk (such as foster care youth and English language learners).
Texas College & Career centralizes all the key planning elements of a student’s educational career focused to grades 6-12, key milestone reminders, and meaningful communication tools from student to counselor to parent or guardian.
