Welcome to
Terrell ISD Curriculum
DEIC Purpose: In compliance with Education Code 11.251,
the District-Level Committee shall advise the Board or its designee
in establishing and reviewing the district's educational goals,
objectives, and major district-wide classroom instructional programs
identified by the Board or its designee. The committee shall serve
exclusively in an advisory role except that the committee shall
approve staff development of a district-wide nature.

Composition: The committee is composed of teachers professional
non-teaching staff members, parents, community people, business
representatives, and the superintendent's designee, Assistant
Superintendent, Curriculum and Instruction.

Members are elected in September of each school year.

The Educational Improvement Council will be only concerned
with the broad based instructional goals and objectives of
the district. The Council will only be involved with
addressing the district’s education goals, objectives and
major district-wide classroom instructional programs. (Texas
