It is the mission of the Curriculum Department to provide relevant, aligned curricula, academic and instructional leadership, and professional development opportunities that support teachers and administrators in the delivery of effective instruction which enhances learning and improves achievement for all students.

The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. The Federal NCLB Accountability system was released December 14  and all Terrell campuses and our district met the AYP standards. The federal evaluations are based on:
 • Participation and passing rates on state mathematics and reading/English language arts tests for grades 3-8 and 10;
• Graduation rates for high schools and districts; and
• Attendance rates for elementary and middle schools.
